We are looking for an outstanding and passionate Teacher of English to join our hard-working, reflective and forward thinking English Faculty – it is a flagship Faculty with a team of superb teachers who work together extremely well. We seek someone who will inspire our pupils, nurturing and guiding them to excel in English and grow as an individual. This is primarily a full-time permanent position, however a 0.6 or 0.8 contract will be considered for the right candidate. If your preference is a 0.8 or 0.6 contract, please address this in your application.
Working within our outstanding English Faculty, the successful candidate will be enthusiastic and willing to teach KS3 and KS4 English Language and Literature across the school, as well as contributing to a highly inclusive and successful extra-curricular programme. Pupil progress for English is outstanding. The English Faculty, year on year, support pupils to achieve outstanding GCSE examination results in both Language and Literature. In 2023, Fairfield pupils achieved an amazing 109 Grade 9s at GCSE level, 35 of which were in English. The Faculty is a beacon of excellence within the school.
