Pastoral Support

At Fairfield our priority is to ensure the well-being and happiness of our pupils. We support our pupils to be resilient, independent, kind and respectful young people. We want pupils to feel supported and listened to in school so that they can reach their potential. Quite simply, we want to help pupils on their journey to become successful learners, confident indiviuals and responsible citizens.

Form Tutors

It is important that our pupils feel that there is someone approachable in school if they need any support or help. One of the key relationships for parents/carers and pupils is with the Form Tutor. They have contact at least twice a day with pupils through morning and afternoon form time. The Form Tutor is the first point of contact if you want to discuss your child’s progress and experience at Fairfield. Form Tutors are supported by our experienced Pastoral Team.

Our Pastoral Team provide information, guidance and advice to pupils in many areas including:

• Managing relationships with peers
• Mental health support
• Academic and learning guidance
• Careers guidance
• Support with attendance and punctuality
• Links and partnerships with external organisations
